New Thought Of The Day

2/10/06 -- A very long and  busy day. I want to thank Jennie Washington for hiring me to perform for Chicago's African American Art Exhibition at the Daley Center . She put some very words in my guestbook. I appreciate your understanding of my voice not yet back up to par. I am happy  I was able to pulled it off.  I loved the magnificant paintings by the artists. Awesome! Thanks again Jennie. Headed to bed to catch up on my much needed rest. With  love, Peter Love

2/9/06 -- It is cold again in Chicago, Brrr!! We had a bit of a warm spell but the tempertures dropped and the Windy City showed its true colors. But at least the sun is shining. I was up extra early because I promised a garbage collector an "Unforgettable Love" CD today when he comes by to pick up my garbage. I bet he thought I was just talking. You should have seen the smile on his face. He is a good man. Last week I didn't have my recycles ready but he took time out to let me get them otherwise I would have had to wait another week for pick up. This isn't the first time:-) Well, at least he is going to make someone happy for Valentine's Day when he plays the title song for that special day and moment. At least I made someone happy for the day set aside for LOVE already :-) With  love, Peter Love

2/8/06 -- Hello! I am back up and running. I got my computer back yesterday event though there were some unfortunate things that happened to my PC. My personal filing cabinet was deleted which had everything from important documents, personal and business letters and other such material that are unretrievable :-(  I won't complain because it won't bring them back. I do want to thank the people who fixed my PC. That is what I am grateful for. Thanks guys. My voice is still recoverying. I did sing at Chicago's Daley Center last Friday. I was only able to sing 3 songs. Not good. I am scheduled to sing at Orland Park's 94 West this Friday. I don't know if I will be able to do more than a few songs. This is the longest I have gone with my voice being out. Scary, to say the least. What's amazing is my voice gave out around the same time as my PC. I guess this was a way of telling me to take a time out. Well, it worked to some degree even though I was busy in other ways.  We are working on a new website; so check it out when you have time. We are in the construction stage so please bear with MMM and company as we see what changes we want and don't want. Give us your feedback. You can buy some Valentine love songs from me for your loved ones. You can't lose with a song like, "Unforgettable Love," I promise you:-) Have a wonderful day! With  love, Peter Love

1//29/06 -- I will try and send my PC out today for repairing. In the meantime, I want to make an announcement that would benefit someone special out there. I want to write a song about someone's personal situation; whether that be about love, bad fellings, a unique situation, a revelation, a secret love affair, familyetc., I write songs of all genres on all subject areas. I want to do something special by writing a song for someone who needs a song to express their feelings to someone or everyone or perhaps to themselves. Let me hear from you. Send your request through my guestbook. Songs reach out and touch people from around the world. They have impact of the lives of others. Since writing, "Unforgettable Love,"  "Save Our Children," "Daddy's Little Girl," "A RAT Race" and many, many more, I have learned that songs can help others in ways you would never imagine. Since writing my songs and receiving heart wrenching and positive feedback from around the world, I know music, a universal language, makes a difference. Music can make a change. Let me hear from you. Perhaps you have lyrics, the music, or just thoughts. It makes no difference. I can handle it. People whom I have worked with will tell you it is not all about money. Yes, you have to make a living, but love, happiness and health is what it is all about. I hope you hear me out there a share your thoughts with me and others. Again, bear with me and my PC for a day or two. Peace and love to all.  With  love, Peter Love

1/28/06 -- I am having great difficulty with my computer. It is not a virus but I believe it must be infected on my hardrive. I am getting pop-ups from everywhere. I talked with a friend who is a computer whiz out of Peoria, IL., and I may have to ship my PC to him for a couple of days. I verified that that my computer is infected.  I have another computer and a laptop but my personal information on this computer's hardrive is not on the other two. This would not allow me to write my thoughts of the day:-( I am going to try to resolve this ASAP!  On another note, I want to thank  my friend for the advice they gave me for laryngitis. I have taken your advice and will see what happens. It was good to hear from you. Please stay in touch. With  love, Peter Love

1/27/06 -- My computer is acting up so forgive me for the short message. When it rains it pours. But having a positive attitude and understanding life gets me through life's ups and down. Please bear with me. With  love, Peter Love

1/26/06 -- We are in the procoess of forming the Save Our Children Day Committee in Aberdeen, MS., for June 3, 2006. I may have to push the date back because I am scheduled to be in San Diego at the end of May. Because I have to rehearse with the band in Aberdeen, I wouldn't be able to go to San Diego. I will be talking with some of the people on SOC Day Committee and see what they think about pushing the June 3, date back a couple of weeks. It seems as if we have time to do so since nothing has gone out regarding dates of the event. I think all will turn out fine.    With  love, Peter Love

1/25/06 -- I am scheduled to sing at Chicago's Civic Center February 5, 2006. I am hoping and praying I will be able to fulfill this engagement. I am not able to rehearse due to laryngitis and this makes things look shaky at this point. However, I never rule out such things because you never really know up until show time. The Civic Center is a big event and I would hate to miss out on it. If anyone has any old "Grand Ma" remedies they can share with me please send them this way:-) With  love, Peter Love

1/24/06 -- Linda and Jeanne, Founders of Persons Against Ritual Abuse Torture, were guest speakers for a Women's Rights Group promoting anti ritual abuse torture this weekend in Toronto, Canada. I understand it went very well. They used my song, "A RAT Race."  I just read an entree from a woman who attended their seminar and lecture. It is very touching and I must say , " A tear jerky."  Please go to my "Guest Book" and read her testimony. I take my hat off to both Linda and Jeanne for their dedication and contiued fight for the rights and abolishment of ritual abuse torture. May God continue to bless these two women. I am behind them 100%. Our fight has only just begun. Visit their Persons Against Ritual Abuse Torture website at < www.ritualabusetorture.org/index.htm > Thanks my Canadian sisters. 1/23/06 -- Hello everyone! I had hoped to be back sooner. Not only is my PC acting up not allowing me to sign on, but I still have a case of laryngitis. While I have regained my speaking voice to a great degree and I am told I am at least another 3 weeks from being able to sing. To have had to cancel shows and TV interviews has been very depressing for that is my joy. I did an interview last week for Chicago's Daily Southtown and Star newspapers owned by the Chicago Suntimes. It was decided to do a feature on my eating and cooking.  They included pictures of my vegetarian dishes. Click on this link to read the article. http://www.dailysouthtown.com/southtown/dsliving/191ldfla.htm  I want to thank reporter Eloize Sanchez for her beautiful article. Believe it or not, Orland Park Meat Market and Deli is now selling my advocado salad in their store. Amazing! Thank you all.  With  love, Peter Love

1/10/06 -- I came out of hibernation just for a moment against Dr.'s orders. I had a newspaper interview I had to attend today for the Chicago Daily Southtown. I also appear for a taping for Jennie's Reflections, a Chicago TV show on the 15th to be aired at a later date. I still don't have my voice back from a severe case of laryngitis. I promised I would take a complete time out from music, something I am doing for the most part. It is hard taking a vacation when not planned. I hope to be up and running in a little while. I send my love to all. With  love, Peter Love

1/03/06 -- I have been down with a horrible cold and have not been to my computer the last couple of days. I am still not feeling in better. My voice is gone; a singer's worse nightmare.  I sound like Frog of the "Little Rascals." In addition I have severe chest congestion, nose running like a running faucet, soar throat, etc. I just want you to know it may be a couple of days before I am back up and running. Let me hear from anyone who has any natural remedies that may help. I love those old fashion remedies our grandparents used that were very effective yet, without all of the drugs and their horrible side effects. I would surely appreciate it. Someone suggested fasting with plenty of water and herbal teas. I am looking into it. Thanks Y'all. With  love, Peter Love

12/24/05 --  My prayers have been answered in less than four days. On 12/19/05,  I asked for someone out there to help with me to continue with my "Save Our Children" Day/Concert/Crusade. Well, Mr. Dalani Aamon, President and Founder of Harambee Radio of Washington, DC, has come forward and offered to help me. He will provide a two our interview and promotion of my quest for a SOC Day for Washington DC, next Thrusday, 12/19/05, 9 PM till 11 PM EST on his Harambee radio show http://www.harambeeradio.com/. Dalani's radio show is received in 40 US cities and in over 40 countries. God knows this is a closer step toward my dream of  having an annual national "Save Our Children" Day. If you only knew of the hard work, disappointments, the naysayers and pain trying to get such a dream for our children off the ground, then you would understand the elation I am feeling at this moment. I have performed in our nation's capitol on two separate occasions. During my last time there at my performance for the March On Washington, I met Dalani and his staff. They are some beautiful people What a divine blessing it was for our coming together. We promised we would worked together at some time in the future. Well, that time has come. I am asking all of my family, friends loved ones and fans to please tune in and help us with the launching of a SOC Day for Washington, CD. Dalani has seven of my CDs that cross many genres and themes. But most important for that night, my inspirational and humanitarian songs will be our focus. It's all about the salvation of our children. We have to return to the times when a child could be a child. They deserve it and we are the only ones who can provide that sanctuary for them. I look for your support.  Please call in and let us know how you feel. Peace! With  love, Peter Love

12/22/05 -- Busy, busy, busy. I have been going non-stop, literally. Music is 24/7.  I have had several blessing in the last couple of days. God is good to me and I love He and his Angels for being on my side. I wish you all could hear my song, "The Lord is on Your Side." Then you would have even a clearer picture of what I am saying. It is a favorite among spiritual and religious folks. The song expresses the gratitude I have no matter what life has bestowed upon me. My Faith never waivers because He is on my side. I want to thank the Lord for finding sisters my brothers and I never knew we had. Their names are Bendel and Brendalyn Love. Words cannot express what this this means to my brothers and I. After all these years thinking we were the only Loves, sons, of Dr. Ben Del Love, we learn we have two sisters. Thank you for the best Christmas present we have ever had. I am already hearing a song in my head. Titles floating around are: "From Love to a Love," "Love meets Love." "Love finds Love." I can go on and on. I welcome my sisters and new family aboard the LOVE Train! I love you Bendel and Brendalyn Love! Welcome home! With  love, Peter Love

12/19/05 -- We are looking for people that are interested in having me come out to your organization, event or city for a Save Our Children Day/Concert. The primary purpose is to raise the public's awareness of child abuse. I want to put more emphasis on our anti-chid abuse crusade for 2006. Visit my website's SOC Foundation link to read what we are doing. We will be updating this section soon. Please contact us ASAP so that we can come to your community to make people aware of the resources available for the prevention and intervention of child abuse. You can help save a child's life  and make his or her environment a safe place to live; where a child can be a child. I appreciate anyone out there willing to help us with the Save Our Children crusade. With  love, Peter Love

12/18/05 -- I want say, "You are most welcome" to the woman who signed my guestbook today. She read about my performing  at Don Doty's Health Fair Saturday in the Daily Southtown newspaper. Advertising works after all :-) She brought her teen daughter and they had a wonderful time. She expressed her sincere feelings in my guestbook, speaking for her daughter as well. The fact that she had to go to a neighbor's house and ask them to send their thoughts via there computer was even more special. That says a lot. She admits to being computer illiterate. Debbie, my SOC Foundation's President, gave them a free "My Safe Harbor" CD.  She describes how her daughter reached out and hugged her while I was singing  "A Mother's Love" song. I wrote that song for my mother and for others to have a song to present to their moms. That song means a lot to me as well. In the lyrics I refer to my mother as "Mama," because that is what we call her. To the woman who signed my guestbook, you don't know how much you make me feel; very appreciatated. It's a two way street. Thank you  so much and I wish you and your daughter all the love one can bestow. Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Please go to my guestbook and read Mom's testimony. With  love, Peter Love

12/17/05 -- My performance today at the Georgia Doty Health Education Fund's HIV/AIDs and Hepatitis C Conference at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Chicago was by far the most spiritual for me personally since coming aboard. This is my third performance for this health project. The line up of speakers, vendors and entertainers were awesome. Whenever I perform a benefit for people in need it is very special and touches my heart and soul in a way the is totally spiritual and humbling. Music can touch people like no other medium and we saw this today. We had the place rocking. My song "My Safe Harbor," a song about hope and faith when a way out seems impossible, was the perfect antidote for those in the audience going through hard times in one way or another. At my "Peter Love/SOC Foundation" booth, we gave away Peter Love CDs for those who could not afford to buy them. It was just what the Dr. ordered.  The eloquent speakers, numerous vendors giving free medical screenings, massages, pamphlets, food, etc., was an event that will always be cherished and remembered by many. The video company filming the event was owned by a childhood friend. What a surprise! There are more events like today scheduled to take place in five citites. I am blessed to be a part of this crusade. God is good. I will deliver my music whenever, wherever and how ever I can. Have a blessed day. With  love, Peter Love

12/16/05 -- I have to give a tremendous "shout out" to a beautiful woman from Bloomfield, MO., that I have as my health consultant/nutrionalist. I have been an off  and on vegetarian for about a year. I have been pretty good but cheat now and then, especially during the holidays. It is hard to stick to a diet of just fruit ,vegetables, nuts, seeds and the like when we entertainers are out on the road. This is because we eat only organic foods. Most of the food available on the road are fast food places or non organic fruits and vegetables found in your average supermarket. So it is quite a challenge. What's more of a challenge is eating these foods in a raw state or steamed at best. I have learned that the SAD (Standard American Diet) is full of processed, overcooked food that has killed the living vitimans, minerals, enzymes out of them because of the frying and heat needed to prepare meals.  Most foods has so many chemicals and artificial this and that. Wow!  M. B. has a lot in common with me which makes it that much more beneficial having her as a health adviser. She has therapies that go along with this way of living and eating, exercising being one of them. I say life style because it is more than just a diet but a new way of living. Her dream is to have her own health consultant business and I will surely be helping her out in any way I can. One thing for sure, I notice a stark difference when eating a vegetarian diet as oppose to eating processed food and meat that has additives of all sorts. I feel much better overall and my thinking is much clearer. Amazing. This is not for everyone and I am not pushing what one should eat. I could go on and on. However, I am an entertainer. I am just expressing something about me that I wanted to share. Thanks Mrs. M. B. for coming into my life and helping me out. I truly appreciate you for this. With  love, Peter Love

12/15/05 -- I must say I am very excited about the positive reaction I am receiving from my song, "A RAT Race," in just the short time it has been released. I just spoke with SMART  News publisher N.B. of Massachusettes and he is very excited about receiving the song to promote. He even talked about me coming to their RAT conference in 2006 to perform this and other songs I have written. He has numerous outlets and knows of many people who are advocates fighting ritual abuse torture. This can only help the cause. I don't have to sell myself as much now  regarding the song because the it is now up for listening on Linda and Jeanne's Persons Against Ritual Abuse Torture website <www.ritualabusetorture.org/index.htm>. I must say this song would have been impossible to have the impact it is having had I not consulted with them every step on the way regarding the lyrics. Each time I would write a set of lyrics, whether it was a word, sentence or paragraph, I would eventually run it by them. I didn't know much about ritual abuse torture and nothing about the particulars of the lingo they use among themselves. This is where their help really came in. Sometimes they suggested a word in place of the one I was using. When they did this I had to rewrite the entire lyrics over because I had to make the words not only rhyme with the word they suggested, but make sense. In addition, when writing a song, the words and their syllables have to coordinate with the music. So if I used a word that had only one syllable and they suggested I replace it with a word that had two or more syllables,  I then had to rewrite the music or vice versa.  I hope that makes sense to Ya. But anyway, after months of experimenting and some serious roadblocks along the way, "A RAT Race" was finally written and composed. What a tremendous experience this was for me working with women located in Canada. Awesome!  I want to use proceeds to help in the fight against ritual abuse torture. Thanks Linda and Jeanne for the inspiration and help you provided and for putting up with  me:-) Naw, I am just kidding about the latter. They will tell you that I am a nice fellow to work with and so are they. Please go to thier website to hear the song and read more about RAT.  With  love, Peter Love

12/14/05 -- Time is surely going by quickly. I have been in the studio the last few days recording "A Mellow Merry Christmas" and reheasing for my upcoming shows. I have been really getting a work out. The song is coming along fine. I hope to have it finished before the weekend. I go tomorrow to rehearse with Mt. Calvary Baptist Church's choir with my song, "Save Our Children" for a show at their church this Saturday promoting the awareness of the HIV/AIDs and Hepatitis C viruses. This is sponsored by the Georgia Doty Health Education Fund. I love singing songs with a choir period. It is even more an awesome feeling having so many voices singing one of your own songs. My "A RAT Race" song is making a hit in Canada. Read the entry a person put into my website's guestbook about the song. It is a tear jerky. She is a ritual abuse survivor. A newspaper online publisher contacted me and wants to promote the song. They are located in Boston. That is where I was born. Maybe I will finally get a chance to go back there. Cool! Speaking of cool, no cold, Another snow storm is upon Chicago:-( Oh well, that is the way it goes. Everyone have a warm day. I am going to try my best to:-) With  love, Peter Love

Archives Below:

12/10/05 --  Chicago was blanketed with over ten inches on snow which crippled the city, especially the suburbs. Some friends I know said it took them several hours to get home from work, the longest taking eight hours, literally. I had to cancel a rehearsal and recording session that I was really looking forward to:-(  It has begun to snow again with several more inches predicted to fall throughout the night. I envy my brother Brett who lives in sunny Orlando, FL. He calls me and rubs it in. On a positive note, the snow is giving me the Christmas spirits. You see children making snowmen, having snowball fights, sleds all around. It brings me back to my childhood days. I love performing Christmas songs and look forward to the ones I have scheduled.  TV is full of Christmas ads, specials and good old Christmas carols. I have finished rearranging my song, "A Merry Mellow Christmas," with a beautiful harmonica solo a la Stevie Wonder. I will be able to give a few CDs out to family and friends. I truly believe they will like this song. I will try to put it up on my website if anyone is interested in receiving a copy. Well, I on my way back outside to do some shoveling of this continued snow off our driveway, walkway and front porch. Have a blessed evening. Brrr...With  love, Peter Love

12/08/05 -- I have been super busy with a multiple of musical projects for the Christmas Holidays. It is 5:45 AM CST and I am leaving out and will get home sometime late tonight. So please forgive me for missing a couple of days during this time period. I have a recording session this morning followed by a reheasal with a choir with another recording session tonight with new musicians. Busy but loving it! Happy Holidays to all of you. I send my best wishes to everyone. With  love, Peter Love

12/05/06 --  Today I received the good news from Canadians Linda Mc Donald and Jeanne Sarson, founders and CEO of Persons Against Ritual Abuse Torture. They received the song that I wrote for them, "A RAT RACE" and express deep love and appreciation for the song and my composing such a song for their organization. I met these two courageous and devoted women two years ago in Washington, DC. I was there for a performance of my song "Stop Human Trafficking" for the Global Coalition To End Human Trafficking Now! These two women approached me and told me all about another form of abuse on children, women and men: Ritual Abuse Torture. I had little knowledge of it but after talking with them and hearing these horrid accounts of santanic rituals on children, women, men and even fetuses, I promised to write a song to help their cause about RAT (Ritual Abuse Torture).   I was surprised to hear them critique all parts of the song: as thorough as they did: the lyrics, melody, instruments, sound effects, and vocals, etc. They were sincere and all was positive. They have since played the songs for others with great responses. One RAT survivor, through Linda and Jeanne, has already put in a request to purchase the song. They are going to promote the song and I believe this will really help heighten the public's awareness of their cause because music reaches people where other mediums don't. Music is a universal language and has been used to support causes throughout history. RAT is a world wide problem but is rarely talked about. Read my website's guest book to see what Linda had to say about the song. Visit their website at < www.ritualabusetorture.org/index.htm> to learn more about this evil. The culprit can be anyone from a mother, father, priest or neighbor. They will have the song on their website soon for all to hear. Have mercy on all RAT survivors and let's work together to prevent such evil. With  love, Peter Love

12/04/05 -- Christmas is coming soon. I am working on several Christmas songs that I will be performing in addition to an original I wrote titled, "A Mellow Merry Christmas."  There are many I love to sing but  I especially love singing  "The Christmas Song," because, for whatever reason, it reminds me of my childhood. "Jingle Bells," "A White Christmas," "Red Nose Raindeer," "I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus" and all the others I love singing as well. It is just something about this one song that takes me back to the days when my brothers and I would wait anxiously the night before Xmas for Santa's arrival the next day. Would you believe we actually left a glass of milk out on the kitchen table for old St. Nick? Man oh Man! Those were the days. I miss them.  But I do love giving it back through my music and love itself. Ho, Ho, Ho! :-) With  love, Peter Love

12/03/05 --  Several people contacted after the airing of the Larry King Show which featured national TV and radio host Leeza Gibson, founder of Leeza's Place; a designed to help caregivers and loved ones deal with the emotional distress of those suffering from Alzheimer's. When I saw the show it was heart wrenching. Leeza's mother has this disease and now has several such facilities across the nation. I contacted their center in Joilet, not far from my home. I spoke with the Director and shared with her my song, "Because Of You." This is interesting and could be another song that helps in the fight for humanity; in this case Alzheirmer. I love helping others. With  love, Peter Love

12/02/05 -- Winter, even though not official, has arrived. It is cold and snow flurries have arrived. I lent my vocals and song on a CD to help homeless families with children. Actually a friend has a dream of raising funds for a homeless shelter in his neighborhood. I met J. Wilson when I performed for Kourts For Kids a couple of years ago when I was in St. Louis. He promised he would get in touch with me to do this project. While this is in the beginning stages, he has entertainers lined up to lend their support. What will be unique with my song "Save Our Children" is a youth choir singing along. I have sung this song on a couple occasions live with children. It gives the song an certain appeal even though it is a song written for adults for the purpose of reaching out to our society to help stop child abuse. Wilson wants me to keep this project under wraps until he has the music completed. However, I told him I will mention our plans. This is going to be something special down the line. I look forward to the day when it is completed. Save Our Children for they are our future. With  love, Peter Love

11/27/05 -- I felt a cold coming on yesterday evening. I usually can tell when a cold is coming from a scratchy throat. Well, today it is a full blown cold, something I haven't had in quite some time. I will have to cancel some things I had scheduled for the next couple of days while I recuperate. As Mom used to say, "Hold your horses."  I will be back soon. With  love, Peter Love

11/26/05 -- Everyone heads back on today. It's has been one of the best holidays I have had. I think the main reason is I am wiser. As we grow older we learn and appreaciate life in ways we don't as youngsters. I have been going non - stop being a host. But it has been such an honor and joy. My family made me sing a couple of songs which I was shy about doing. It is one thing to sing to an audience yet, totally different singing to family. It's hard to explain but I guess we all are shy about something. Anyway, I did it and got a rounding applause. I felt happy that all were pleased. Peace. With  love, Peter Love

11/25/05 -- Today is an extension of yesterday. Giving thanks for all that we have been blessed with. My family, including my Mother,  is still with me as we enjoy every moment we have together. I love every moment of it and hope for many more to come. Tomorrow isn't promised so we take delight and revere any time we have with one another. Love in mind body and soul is needed more than ever before it seems in our turbulent world. Such need for love is the inspiration behind my song, "We Need Love."  The thing about love is, it doesn't cost a cent, and  doesn't require much effort. Only the will is all that is needed. Try it. It never fails. You'd be surprised:-) With  love, Peter Love

11/24/05 -- I want to wish eveyone a very happy Thanksgiving! We have so much to be blessed for that we very often over look them, concentrating on the negative. Give thanks to your family, friends and loved ones including yourself. My older brother from St. Louis, along with his friend, came to eat dinner and share this special day with us. He cooked barbeque chicken on his grill and brought them with him. MMM good:-) We chatted with our youngest brother living in Florida. We had a great time. To all, have a blessed day. 11/23/05 -- Today I met with Morgan Carter, host of Chicago's  TV show, Omnibus Round Table, Channel 19, and founder of The Chicago Communicator Newspaper. We had a very fruitful meeting. I will be a guest on his show and  featured in his newspaper. In addition he is hooking me up with newspaper public relation and marketing folks in the Chicago area. He also has some musical events coming up, the first being December 19, where I will be a featured performer. He has skills that include motivational speaker, comedian, writer, host, etc. We have agreed to help promote one another. Morgan is a down to earth person and devoted to making his projects a success. I am fortunate to have met this gentleman. You will be hearing more about him in the very near future. 11/22/05 -- I am receiving calls from people who were in attendance at Jennie Washington's Birthday Celebration. This is very inspiring  and uplifting to me personally because I did several numbers with a pianist that I had never rehearsed with. This is the sign of a great musician; someone who can ad lib and do a great job on the spot in front of a live audience whom have never rehearsed with one another. This is a measuring stick as to the level of my entertaining. The host, Cookie, a vocalist and actress, called as well to invite me to be on one of her upcoming shows. I praise my Higher Power for such blessings. With  love, Peter Love

11/21/05 --  Today I was busy rehearsing my vocals, dancing and overseeing the duplicatiing of new CDs. We have special days that we set aside to replenish our supply of CDs. Some days we get orders for CDs that wipe us out, literally. We try never to put ourselves in such a predicament. We all carry a couple copies of each of my CDs to sale or donate. We do believe in donating. It is a great feeling to see the glow on the face of people we give CDs to who have no financial means of purchasing one. We know in our hearts that the song/CD will make a big different in that person's life. They in turn pass on that kindness, that love to someone else; a domino effect. Love is powerful and a gift. 11/20/05 -- It appears the pianist I met last night at Jennie's Birthday party, Nate Griffin and I will do some gigs together. He worked on the West coast for a few years and worked with some ledgenday entertainers such as Sam Cook. Amazing, Sam Cook's vocal instructor was also my instructor for a while. A beautiful dedicated woman. We are going to get together at his studio and go over songs I use on my show, perhaps as many as 25, both copy and original tunes. He and I hit it right off musically last night on stage without the benefit of a rehearsal. Our personalities clicked. He, like I, are down to earth people. I know the both of us on stage together will produce a winning act. Look out Y'all:-) With  love, Peter Love

11/19/05 -- I want to wish Jennie Scott Washington, TV host of Jennie 's Reflection, a Happy Birthday. I performed for her Birthday celebration singing several songs including one of my originals, "Because Of You," that she airs on her show as a sound tract very often. Her birthday bash was the bomb! The DJ played some very great music for dancing, mixing the right songs to energize the people in attendance to get on the dance floor including myself. Nate Griffin, a renown piano player, played for several entertainers that night. He played some jazzy and melodic instrumentals of the oldies and up to date songs. He also sang a tune. He and I had never met but we collaborated on a song I sang, "Over The Rainbow." It went over big! Jennie and I go way back when she used to hire me to perform with my band CUPID for her at the Dusable Museum Festivals and other such events. There were people I hadn't seen in years and I didn't really know some who knew me. Music and bands are easier to remember than a face seen once or twice:-) There were some people of great distinction such as a couple of legendary players from the Old Negro Baseball League. They told some very interesting stories of thier times with the Negro Baseball League. What an honor to take pictures with them. Man oh Man! I look forward to next years party. I will know what to expect. I really had a ball on the dance floor, stepping at all. Happy Birthday Jennie! With  love, Peter Love

11/18/05 --  Most people are aware of my first ever Save Our Children Day held June 4, 2005, in Aberdeen, MS. It was a very successful day! Well, I think theseed has been planted for such an regal event for the city of Chicago. Debbie Abel, President of the SOC (Save Our Children) Foundation, and I met at an exclusive Italian restaurant for dinner with Second Presbyterian Church's Pastor, Rev. Gilchrist and his lovely wife Benita, to discuss holding a Save Our Children Day at their church for the summer of 2006. The meeting was intended for me to acquaint  the Gilchrists with all of the facts and acheivements of the Save Our Children Song/Day/Crusade and how their Church, I feel, would be an ideal place to ignite this mission for the city of Chicago. They were in total agreement and very positive. They gave their ideas and shared how this would be ideal to expand and make the public aware of some existing outreach services for children they already have in place. I will keep you updated on the progess. We all agreed this is needed for our children and look forward to putting our best efforts to making this a reality. We accept anyone who wants to help and be a part of this needed event for our children. Stay tuned. With  love, Peter Love

11/17/05 -- We had a wonder evening at Pastor Crider's Mt. Calvary Baptist Church. Mr. Morgan Carter, who has his own weekly Cable/ TV Show, Channel 19, was host for Don Doty's Georgia Health Education Fund.  Mr. Carter, was very charismatic and engaged the audience which loosened  everyone up for this  serious conference centered on the Hepatitus C Virus. He had everyone talking, laughing and introducing ourselves to one another.  Roche pharmaceutical company was one of the sponsors giving out helpful Hepatitis C literature.  My featured songs were "Ribbon in the Sky" by Stevie Wonder and my orignal song, "My Safe Harbor." I play harmonica on Stevie Wonder's song and this always brings a thunderous round of applause. People don't expect me to whip out my harmonica and start playing a la Stevie Wonder which takes them totally by surprise. As usual, my song brought tears from several of those in the audience because it is a song about surviving the impossible. What touched my heart  that evening was one of the church members who came to me after my performance crying about how the song impacted her soul. She didn't say exactly how or why the song moved her, only that it was in relation to her son. A Dr. Leevy gave a indepth lecture on the virus Hepatitus C. He was very good and humorous with his discussion. In addition, the Mt. Calvary Baptist Church's youth choir did a beautiful song. WGCI's Nikki Woods and others were among the attendees. Nikki is a very down to earth person and looks as young as a teen; I thought she was until I was formally introduced to her. She liked my song and said she will try to get WGCI's gospel divison to play the song. "My Safe Harbor" is song of inspirational. I really appreciate her kindness. The food was great. I want to thank the people serving for saving me a plate to eat. Singers can't eat before they sing. Therefore we miss out on the food many times. Thanks everyone! I will be returning with a full show December 17, 2005. So look out for a big "Bang" of a show. I would like to take time out and personally thank a Mrs. "D" of Northwestern Hospital for her honesty and help in notifying me of a lost relative who was incapable of handling the situation. Mrs. D is an Angel and a reminder that there are good Samaritans left in our Society that has seemingly spun out of control. Thank you so much Mrs D and may God bless you for your kindness. 11/16/05 -- I will be singing my song, "My Safe Harbor," tomorrow night at Chicago's southside Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, sponsored by Don Doty's Georgia Doty's Health Education Fund Foundation. This non for profit organization sponsors seminars, conferences, concerts, etc., that promote and educate the public about the HIV/AIDs and Hepatitis C viruses. They teach people how to survive and live with such diseases. This will be the second one I have been involved with. I am proud to be aboard this crusade. My song, "My Safe Harbor," was inspired by an illness I had, a brain tumor accompanied with horrendous seizures, where doctors told me there was no hope; that the only possible option is brain surgery. Told this would end my music career I refused and sought alternative treatments beginning first with the man upstairs, "GOD!"  The song takes one through such an horrendous and arduous ordeal only to find that the outcome is a great success. A true story to say the least. A survivor, I can talk , sing and share it with others about what faith can do. This song is very much in demand and we now find it popping up on websites across the country. I receive e-mails daily regarding this song that would make any man cry. Please go to my website's guestbook and read testimonials about the impact this song has had on people who were about to give up on life, literally. I am to receive award from my songs, including "My Safe Harbor" tomorrow evening from the Gerogia Doty Health Education Fund Foundation. I am proud and happy to know that my songs have had  such a positive impact on people's lives. What more can one aske for? I am thankful the Lord has allowed me to live through my ordeal and annointed me the gift to make such music to share and help others who have given up. My ultimate dream is to have an annual national "Save Our Children" Day.  In peace and good health, have a blessed day! With  love, Peter Love

11/15/05 -- The worst thing for any entertainer is to have to cancel a performance.  I had to do such a thing for a performance scheduled last week:-)  This was for a regal event.  The disapppointment is still weighing on my mind, as it would for any devoted entertainer.  This performance was for the National Presbyterian Church's 215th General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church (USA). "Tending the Flame: Women Called to Lead,"  was the theme of this event which celebrated the ordination of women as deacons, elders, and ministers within the church and recognized the leadership of women spanning over a 100 year time-frame.  I want to thank the group and one of the organizers, Rev. Dr. Eunice Blanchard Poething, for inviting me to perform for such a grand event. My acquaintance with Eunice goes back many years. She and my Mother worked at Chicago's Presbyteria Office many years ago. She is a super woman and leader with a host of many accomplishments.  I hope and pray that they keep me in mind for future events.  My Mother is an elder of the Presbyterian church and has  achieved much through her involvement in the church. To all of the people involved, I am truly sorry I had to cancel due to illness. Your sincere understanding and sympathetic acknowldegement, while not stopping my disappointment for having to cancel, eased my dismay. Thank you and I look forward to performing for you in the very near future. Eunice made me feel good when she told me that quite of few people in attendance came to see my performance. I have performed my music on many occasionss for Presbyterian functions in the past. Thanks Eunice, you are a sweetheart. May God continue to bless all of you and your ministry. 11/14/05 -- Hello everyone! I missed you and my daily thoughts. I am happy to be back. I have been busy away from home working on  several musical projects including working with my website designer, "Million dollar Man Mike," simply known as "Triple M." I must say that my music has ascended since perfomring for The Georgia Doty Health Education Fund with Dick Gregory. Doors have opened and I must thank my Higher Power, whom I call God, and his Angels for leading me. I will be posting pictures of shows with Dick Gregory, AARP, Governor Blagojevich and others. we are still laying out the design. We have been busy rehearsing new songs and recording new material. I am to sing and receive an award for my outstanding work with my songs at the Chicago's renown Mt. Calvary Church., November 17, 2005, 7:00 PM. Come on out if you are in the area.  I am so excited about this event because it represent all that I stand and have worked for. I hope everyone has been doing fine.  Please continue to be  and do the best that you can .  Let's send our prayers out to those in need.     With  love, Peter Love

10/29/05 -- Today I took a time out and chilled. However, yesterday  was a very humbling day. I performed for two well known organizations: The Georgia Doty Health Education Fund and the AARP orgainization. See 10/26/05 for information about the two orgainzations. I sang my song, "My Safe Harbor" for Don Doty's group. The bulk of tje audience consisted of HIV/AIDS and Hepatitis C infected people. The entire affair, with an all star line up,  focused on them and their plight. The speakers included the Rev. George Clemons, Rev. Trotter and others from a wide spectrum of professionals. The highlight of the day was Dick Gregory's speech which was humorous in nature but serious as a heart attack on life's downfalls, especially for Blacks and the poor. Mr. Gregory does not mince his words and is straight forward. He knows his audience; when to be serious and when to interject humor to get his point across. He tore the house down. Everyone was great and we owe it to Don Doty, the engineer behind this movement.  His remaks were emotional as were the others. I  look forward to being a part of this five city crusade. We are putting up pictures of this event on my website very soon. Pleaase go to my Guestbook to read the testimonials about this event and my performance. I  had to leave early from this show due to my commitment to perform for the AARP group later that day. This performance was equally as fulfilling for me because, just like the former, this group was full of people that needed a lift. I did an entire show for AARP as I was the highlight and the group was very into my show. During my performances, I give out roses, the flower that symbolizes "Love." I sang oldies, Top 40, played my harmonica on the blues numbers and of course performed my originals. I received a standing ovation. The highlight  of the dayto me personally, was at the end when I had finished the show. A woman who appeared to be in her early 70's demanded a rose to take home to put up in her living room. I had given them all out. I had none left :-( This happened once before at a concert except the demanding person was an eight year old girl. Just like then, I went to my Mother whom I had given roses to while singing, "A Mother's Love." She gave me one of her roses to give to this woman just as she had done the little girl. The women cried for joy as did the little girl. This scene was so alike, other than the gap in age, that it was amaing. Things like this you never forget.  I don't have enough space to tell you all of the positives that happened today with the two shows. Let's just say I am so happy to live my dream. I thank God for giving me the opportunity to bring happiness to others through my music and performances. With  love, Peter Love

10/27/05 -- Congradulations to Chicago's White Sox for winning the 2005 World Series, the first since 1917!  Boy, what a drought. We haven't had a championship team since the days of Michael Jordan and the Bulls who won six within eight years. Before that is was the 1985 Chicago Bears winning the Super Bowl. So for sports enthusiasts, you'd better savior the moment for it may be a long time before another championhip comes our way. Horray for the White Sox! With  love, Peter Love

10/26/05 -- Don Doty is the entertainment promoter that used to book me and my band "Peter Love and CUPID" with some well known Chicago entertainers , including the late Oscar Brown Jr, during the late 80's. Don got a hold of my song, "My Safe Harbor" and now it looks like things are going to move up a notch or to for me; finally! ;-)  Don is Founder and CEO of  Georgia Doty Health Education Fund which primarily promotes and fund HIV/Hepatitis C events, programs, conferences, concerts, etc. He is hooked up with other national known organizations and people from all sectors of the political , social, civic and entertainment business. He now wants me in on a 5 city tour and to host a TV reality show in Chicago with top DJ Nicky Woods of WGCI FM radio station. Don has me opening up for actor, comedian and activist Dick Gregory this Friday.  I will then leave there and go diretly to perform for the senior group AARP. From all of this, the director of the national group, The Fair Foundation, the national group for those infected with the Hepatitis C virus,  wants my , "My Safe Harbor," song to be in the hands of all of his members in all fifty states and the District of Columbia. Amazing! This has all taken place within a week's time. I will wait until after the fact to celebrate. Experience has taught me this -- :-) ha, ha! Say your prayers and good luck wishes for me. What I love about this is, it gives me the chance to help others in need. I love giving and my music provides me a way of doing this. I am very grateful. With  love, Peter Love

10/25/05 -- Alan, the owner of Blue Flash Recording Studio offered me a deal to produce my next CD,  "Percussion Girl."  He is a real cool and genuine fellow. I am very surprised with the offer. I met him this summer while performing at a dinner club on thier outside patio.  Since that time I have recorded at his studio and had some mastering of my recorded songs done at his recording studio. We have slowly developed a good relationship.  This is happening right on time. I think this may become my new recording home. It will be a big adjustment having been with Soto Sound Recording Studios for so long. But just like Jerry of Soto, Alan is a very down to earth dude. Change is all a part of life. Thanks Al. 10/23/05 -- I spent another weekend in Chicago at Mom's home since I had a couple of engagements there this weekend. When I am there I don't have access to a PC.  I have a lap top PC but have to figure out why it is not operating beyond my home. I have been lazy and have not taken time out to do so:-(  It is always good to see and spend time with my Mother. You learn a lot about yourself. I can see a lot of myself and my brothers in her. We attended church together which was very nice and spiritually rewarding. What a beautiful church my Mother belongs to. Their  Pastor gave a very nice sermon. He is a very warm and caring gentleman. Tomorrow I will share some good news with you. Until then, I wish you peace and joy. With  love, Peter Love

10/19/05 -- I really feel good right now. I was just contacted by a women from Australia. That's right, Australia! She wants my song, "A Mother's Love," for her Mother-in-law's 70th birthday. The power of cyber space. She said she went on the Internet and searched songs for Mothers and out of all the songs she loved mine the best. This is not bragging but just letting you know how wonderful it feels when you know your song makes someone else's day or whatever it is that the song does favorably.  I do get sales from around the globe and that always fasinates me. The CD is in the mail and enroute to Australia. Enjoy:-) With love, Peter Love

10/18/05 -- I want to give a shout out to my friend Joanna Wright, President of Hope4Kidz, Houston, TX. This is one tough cookie. She is helping the lives of a lot of children who would otherwise have no chance but to suffer at the hands of pedophiles. She has many battles going on. There is a TV documentary, "Breaking the Silence: Children's Stories," about Mothers having their children taken away from them by the legal system and placing them with the accused abuser, the Fathers. Amazing. Well, PBS is reluctant to air the controversial film. I had to call Chicago's PBS to get it aired in our area. I had to call on some of my "Big Shot" friends to knock on their doors. It worked and the show will be aired in and around the Chicago area December 14th, 2005. One of the women in the documentary is Wendy Titelman I worked with on a couple of occasions. I wrote the song "Let My Children" go for her. I did two concerts for her in MO. and AL for her 500 mile march protesting the confiscation of her children. We were threatened with being arrested if I and the others went on stage to perform. I performed and no arrests:-) Wendy is another tough women. The documentary will open your eyes to a lot the public is unaware of. Thanks Joanna. With love, Peter Love

10/17/05 -- I had a great weekend with my Mother!  She is a trooper and I really love and admire her.  She is a widow but still hangs in there after being married for many years. She enlightens me to what  life as a senior and it is something I learn from. God has been good to us. Now it is back to work and music. I have to catch up on some projects and I am especially excited about working with an former promoter, one who used to promote the renown Oscar Brown Jr. I would open shows for this great poet and jazz singer. I will fill you in when I learn more details. There is more but I need to go over things before I know exactly what they entail. Chicago is pumped up because the Chicago White Sox is in the World Series. Mom lives near the stadium. We were able to see and feel the excitement. What an awesome feeling. I hope they go all the way. Well, that's it for now. Everyone have a good day. With love, Peter Love

10/12/05 -- It has been a very busy day. We are finishing up the song, "A R.A.T. Race." It is turning out much better than I thought. I tried some new things. I love experimenting on my songs. I don't like to follow the crowd so much as just be me. That is what makes us all unique and the same applies to songwriting and singing. Whatever works for a person is cool, I just like to be me. In fact, that is all I can be:-) I learned that lesson as a kid. When I would try to sing like a popular artist, I couldn't. Some people have the gift to sing like anyone. I had to sing it in my own voice or it wouldn't sound right. So there you have it, the "Smooth Voice." If I hear and like a song and want to record or perform it, I just adjust it to my voice and take it from there. Hey, my ride is hear, so I am off and running. Have a beautiful day! With love, Peter Love

10/11/05 -- I am writing a new song titled, "My Saving Grace (MSG)." In between the concerts, as I travel through Illinois, is where I find time to write and put more and more into developing the song. The meaning behind the song is two-fold. I will reveal it once I have it all together and the song is ready for recording. But there will be many a people who will be able to relate to this song and run with it. It is very similar in nature to my song, "My Safe Harbor," in the sense of the weak needing a stairway to heaven to recovery from suffering. Stay tuned. I will keep you posted on its progress. With love, Peter Love

10/10/05 -- I am getting ready for a photo shoot.  We are going to put up new pictures on my website real soon, inclcuding a new picture of  me on my homepage. I guess it's time for an update. My manager has been pushing me for some time and I guess the time has come. Photo sessions are very serious business. It is like a recording session. It can take up to a couple of hours or more. The photographers are very professional and take their work seriously. I take my hat off to them. This is where I learned about having the correct lighting, clothes, make-up and more when doing a photo session. They can think of every pose possible and what is best for you in terms of what you  are looking to present for your image. Its a recording session only visual. Power to all photographers! 10/9/05 -- We are experiencing man induced and natural disasters around the globe like crazy. The prohets in several biblical and other primordial sources predict such disasters. We must all reach out for people who endure such catastrophies. We could be next. It is hard for me to even phantom 300,000 people being wiped out in a matter of seconds as what occured in Pakistan, Afghanistan, and other surrounding countries. Villages were decimated, totally obliterated. Where do they begin with such recovery and healing? It is with love, with passion. It is amazing some of the songs I wrote and performed sometime back are now seemingly relevant and needed. I had no idea it would be to this extent. One such song I mentioned earlier that I used to perform with my band Cupid is titled, "We Need Love." The theme and lyrics fit the aforementioned and all that is seemingly afflicting our world today.  I will be performing that song on October 28, 2005 in Chicago just to remind people of the need for love. Where is the love y'all. Let's go out and find it and give it!   With love, Peter Love

10/07/05 -- One can tell that summer is over with in Chicago. The temperatures are hoveing in the mid fifties, dropping to the thirties at night. Whew! We had to break out the jackets and long pants. This is when people begin to get their furnaces checked out for the up coming winter weather. I love warm my weather. When I was young , the snow fall brought on activities kids love: snow fights, building snowmen, sledding, ice skating, and in some places, the closing of schools :-) But for some, like myself,  the novelty wore off as I grew older. As BB King sings on one of his chart busters, "The Thrill Is Gone!" Don't get me wrong. I can't envision a Christmas without snow flakes, a snowman, Santa's reindeer, Christmas trees.....  I even wrote a song titled, "A Mellow Merry Christmas." It's just now I love it from afar. Watching a movie such as, "A White Christmas," is cool for me.  Now I would rather sashay in my T-shirt and shorts in warm sunny weather relaxing the day away, watching nature at its finest. Summers are very colorful and stimulating. Plus, you don't have to wrap up just to go outside to pick up the morning newspaper.  I have a couple of concerts scheduled for the south this winter and I plan on enjoying it to the fullest. Come and join me. With love, Peter Love

10/06/05 -- I am fininshing up the final vocals to the recording of the song, "A R.A.T. Race," the song I had to postpone due to laryngitis. It has been a while. Even though I sang it numerous times in my head, it was like learning a new song when I had to actully begin singing it again for the recording. I guess it's comparable to an track runner not being able to run for a while due to a sore leg then getting back out on the track for a run full speed. It takes him a while to get back into to shape. However, I am so happy to be completing this song. It has been on our agenda for over a year. It will be promoted in Canada. I look forward to the day I go there to sing. In addition, I hear so much about the beauty of the country Canada that I am eager to visit. With love, Peter Love

10/5/05 -- I was put back in touch with a health organization, Campaign For Better Health Care, who want my participation in a press conference and campaign. About 3 years ago I wrote a song for them  with the same title. Their main focus is to try and get our government to provide health care for those with no health insurance or those who are underinsured. I personally know people, some with very professional careers, who have no health insurance. A sad but true fact. My song touched on all of the issues surrounding this sad situation in our "land of the free."  I have close freinds in Canada who have free health insurance for both the working and non-working citizens. We are a richer nation yet we don't extend that extra hand to our citizens who vote for such rights. It is scary. So please, when you hear Campaign for Better Health Care asking for support, take time to give support in any way you can. They surely need it.  A couple of the lines in the song goes:

Daddy can't go to work he's ill cause he can't pay the Dr. bills -- Families are suffering cause they don't have medical coverage -- Little Johnny can't get his surgery, even though it's an emergency -- Don't you hear the people crying, please help the sick and dying!Campaign for a better health care!!

Hey, ain't that the truth. I feel honored to be asked to be a part and contribute support with my  music.  Visit their website at: http://www.cbhconline.org/index.htm Wellness to all!  With love, Peter Love

10/4/05 -- I want to give a shout out to a gentleman who goes by the moniker "Jolts."  Jolts' relation to me is not musical, rather health related.  I thought it may benefit others with the knowledge and facts he passed on to me.  I don't know if anyone is aware of what all is put into our food. Well, one thing is called, MSG (Monosodium Glutamate), a flavor enhancer.  It makes food taste so good you want more and more.  It doesn't just stop there, MSG is put in medications, vitamins, drinks, etc. This list goes on and on.  The sad thing about this is the multiple health problems it creates.  We, the public, are not even aware of these consequences, some you are experiencing or perhaps your friends and or love ones . It is one of the world's biggest best kept secret. However, you have people like Jolts who are doing everything they can to spread the word without wanting anything in return. If you have ailments that you or your Drs, can't diagnose, then it is worth going to this website,  one of several Jolts sent me to. Click onto:  http://www.msgmyth.com/  You will learn some very eye opening facts about the food we eat. More so, you will learn about what is put into our food and all of the illnesses it is causing, even death, in particular, MSG.  I want to thank " Mr. Jolts"  for putting the "Lightening Bolt" in all of us ignorant "Folks."  Love you man!  All of you who have followed my musical career throught the years know I very often write songs about real life situations. Well, look for a song soon to be titled "MSG" (My Saving Grace). With love, Peter Love

10/3/05 -- The daughters and family of Jerry Soto are giving his clients the files of their music he has at his Soto Sound Studios. Lezlee Snow and I still have some music demos of the duet we were working on at the studio. I am eager to get them in our hands so we can pursue what we had started with Jerry. I spoke with Lezlee and will be talking with his daughters this evening. Lezlee's and my voice blend well together. We were working on a song she wrote. I hope to have the files in my hand within the next 24 hours. Lezlee and I have developed a genuine friendship and we want to do more projects musically. Wish us well. We have plans for her to accompany me on my Save Our Children Day tour this summer. She also plays keyboards. I look forward to next year's SOC Day. Lezlee's female voice adds another dimension to the Save Our Children Song.  With love, Peter Love

10/2/05 -- What a beautiful day it is today in Chicago! The temperature rose into the 80's accompanied by a gentle breeze.  I was happy to have had my Mother over as well. She spent the weekend with me. I also love Sundays because my two brothers and I conference call one another to make sure all is well with Mother and ourselves. This is also the first day I made attempts to gauge my vocals. For the last few days I have not been able to sing due to a case of laryngitis. No matter how impatient I may become, over the years I have learned not to attempt  vocalizing or I will further damage the inflamation of my larynx. I was able to sing very simple scales not going above high C in the C scale.  I will try to  flex the vocal chords even more tomorrow.  What a mental relief. For the rest of this lovely day, I am going to bask in the sun and warm weather knowing it will only be only a few days like this, if any,  left in the summer of 2005. Have a wonderful day y'all! 10/1/05 -- Happy October!! I have a very interesting link I want you to go to. We live in an era where Western Drs. prescribe pills for any and everything. It trips me out to hear on televised advertisements all of the side effects one may experience when taking a pill for a particular ailment. Hell, it seems the side effects are more debilating than the ailment one is taking the pill(s) for. We live in a "Pill Nation."  I may write a song about it one day. Here is a good song with great lyrics and very facetious. However, the point they are making comes across loud and clear. We better think about what we take for our ailments and know of the consequences. Clink on the link below to hear the song and see the cartoon video. http://www.grab.com/fun/specials/licensetopill  Enjoy! With love, Peter Love

9/30/05 -- Today is the last day of September, the month for people born under the sign, Virgo; The Virgin Mary. I love September because I am a Virgo. I did meet virgin Mary once. Not "THE Virgin Mary," but a virgin Mary. I don't want to get people upset so let me to clarify that last statement. But it sure was a thrill, one I prayed for:-)  Anyway, I had a good birthday and month. There were highs and lows but I made it another year with my mind and body intact. My oldest brother Kim, of St. Louis, is also a Virgo. My birthday is September 4, and his is September 16.  It is strange because for 12 days we are the same age even though we are not twins. When we were young kids, people would ask our ages. When we responded with the same age and said we weren't twins, faternal or otherwise, people would look at us as wise-crackers. I guess we are to some extent. But it was always amusing to see the reponse from people. Once we explained why we were the same age numerically, all was well. I look forward to another year of fun and love from all. With love, Peter Love

9/29/05 -- Well, Fall is upon us. Living in Chicago you know it's time to put away the shorts and T-shirts and pull out the long pants and sweaters. I love my shorts, skinny legs and all. I think summer is the greatest of all seasons. I know in some parts of the country summers are too hot. I am only speaking about the Midwest where the summers are relatively comfortable even when it gets into the 90's for a few days. Cool :-)  More than anything, I can't stand very cold weather. Well, that is Chicago in a nutshell. "The Windy City."  There is a story as to why Chicago was tagged with the moniker, "The Windy City," and it wasn't about its weather. I will have to explain that to you at a later time. Politics is the name of the game in Chicago and so was the inspiration behind the creation of its nick name. Oh well, what's new. Have a great day!  With love, Peter Love

9/28/05 --  I still haven't  regained my vocals yet.  I am patiently awaiting the return of my voice. I guess it is very much like an athelete who runs track waiting to regain his leg strength after an  injury. All one can do is sit on the side and observe. I should be up "and running" in a couple of days. I have to get this CD to the group in Canada. They are very understanding. That takes the stress off of me and the fellas. With love, Peter Love

9/27/05 --  We changed the cover design to the new CD "A  R.A.T. Race" to include a lightening bolt through the clouds. We originally had clouds with rain falling onto the title words, "A RAT Race."  The orgainization for Canada I am writing and recording the song for is launching the song from Thunder Bay. Their logo includes a picture of the native "Thunder God." It is an awesome sight.  So it was only appropriate that we add a bolt a lightening that represents thunder. The lightening will represent a break in the storm such as a break in ritual abuse torture. There is always thunder after lightening. I think it makes a lot of sense to me. I enjoy creating, especially when it has a very specific purpose.  With love, Peter Love

9/26/05 --  We had to cancel a recording session today because I had a case of laryngitis. We therefore, had a meeting on the project and upcoming events. One of the guys stood in for me.  It is always a disappointment when you have to cancel anything you love, something you have been looking forward to. We will try again in a few days. The voice is delegate and must be handled with care when it is used as a musical instrument. The same applies to speakers as well. Peace to all. With love, Peter Love

9/25/05 --  I received the CD cover design for my new song and CD "A Rat Race."  Debbie, my assistant, designs most of my CD covers. She has a gift for designing CD covers. I usually tell her what I have in mind and "Bam!" just like that, she has it ready to go. Since Ritual Abuse Torture is an undercover business of sick and crazed individuals, it is like being under a dark cloud. Most people aren't even aware of the magnitude of the         R. A.T. problem. On  the CD cover is a storm cloud with pouring rain over the words "A R.A.T Race."  It is awesome! I shouted to Debbie, "I love it!" She has to be used to me saying that to her by now when she comes with these beautiful CD cover designs. She designed the "Save Our Children" CD cover as well. Debbie, thanks a million for your gift and sharing it with me. With love, Peter Love

9/24/05 --  I have a gospel song titled, "The Lord is on Your Side."  I wrote and performed this song with my band CUPID many times. The song centers on the sufferer being reminded that no matter what he or she endures the Lord, or their higher power, is always right their to see them through. Never for once, while composing this song, did I really ever think I would need this song for myself in a life saving situation. Yes, many a day I have needed and sang this song to and for myself. I pass it on to the victims and to whomever is in need of such a song.  Let me know if you would lkie a copy of the song. The lyrics (a short version) to the first 2 verses of the "Lord is on Your Side" are:

THE  LORD IS ON YOUR SIDE

What do you do when it seems that the world has you down? -- WELL, what you should do is realize that the Lord, he 's on your side  -- The Lord is on you side, the Lord is on your side, the Lord is on your side, the Lord is on your side. -- What do you do when you feel you don't have a future? Well, what you should do is realize is realize that the Lord, he's on your side -- The Lord is on your side...  With love, Peter Love

9/22/05 --  I have been in the recording studio the last couple of days alone. It is weird without Jerry Soto at the helm , calling the shots. I am doing the engineering, mixing and orchestrating myself.  I would always give my input and suggestions and let Jerry make magic with his mixing boards. I would have the final say so, however, at many a times I would go with what Jerry suggested because I knew he knew what he was saying or doing. Lucky for me I would watch and ask questions. I am not afraid to ask. He was a genius at recording , mixing and mastering plus a hell of a musician on multiple instruments. I picked up on a lot of his techniques. Well, now I am having to do implement all that I learned from Jerry on my present music project. I have engineered and mixed many songs on my own. But this will be the very first song that is going out to the public on a level that I would have had Jerry as the engineer and musician. I am flying solo for now. Wish me luck. 9/21/05 --  As the first day of Fall approaches it is important that we refect and count our blessings. For some that is so hard and perhaps impossible. Faith in your higher power or your beliefs can truly help. Music can also help. There are songs that can be of great benefit if the lyrics and music relate to your situation. I have several songs I listen to when I need a lift and I am always searching for new ones. Music is a unique and awesome friend. I am recording my song, "A R.A.T. Race," for an organization out of Canada that is spreading the message and helping victims of an evil against humans called Ritual Abuse Torture. That is what the acroynms for the letters in "A R.A.T. Race" stand for. The founders of this organization are two super women. I met them over a year ago during a performance on Capitol Hill. They are very eager to have this song as they say it will help many cope as vitims/survivors of  ritual abuse torture. To learn of this global problem, a billion dollar industry, visit founders Jeanne and Linda's website by  clicking on this link.  http://www.ritualabusetorture.org/creativecorner.htm  I  hope and pray this song will help the victims of  R.A.T. 9/20/05 -- Today I was surprised to receive a link to the March On Washington that I performed for this past August 12-13, 2005, in Lafayette Park located across from the White House. You could look right at the White House while on stage. It was an awesome and humbling experience. On the website are articles, pictures, MP3 audio files, etc. People came from around the globe to attend this two-day event. The purpose of the March On Washington was to make the public aware of the abuse and neglect by our government's penal system on the poor and minority community. I sure learned a lot. The rights of people can be snatched away in an instance. There are thousands of innocent incarcerated people. This includes children as well. You can visit this website by clicking on this link: http://www.journeyforjustice.org/march/Archive2.html  I take my hat off to the founder and coordinator of this event, Roberta Franklin of Alabama. She went through a lot to put on this event.  I am equally proud of all the participants and supporters who sacrificed to make this day possible. Within a couple of years I look for my "Save Our Children" Day to be celebrated on the lawn of the White House or within the White House itself. Mark my words. With love, Peter Love

9/19/05 --  Hello and welcome. It is good to be back home and sharing my "Thought Of The Day." The last week and a half has been very busy and unusal. We buried my friend and producer of 15 years; Jerry Soto of Soto Sound Studios. We now have to find a new home for the producing and recording of my music. In addition, I have had relatives to lose everything as a result of Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans. My mother's older sister died. She was in a nursing home and was trapped for a few days before being rescued and transfered to another facility. We strongly believe the stress and trauma of Katrina played a part in her passing. The youngest of her two sons (my cousins) and his family lost their home as well as their Mother's. I can't tell you how this has affected our family.  I have performed a couple of concerts with all proceeds going to the victims of Hurricane Katrina. This tragedy will take a long time for some to recover from while others, who lost loved ones, can never fully recover.  The media has only focused on the city of  New Orleans. However other cities and states have equally been affected. Let's not forget these people as well. Please say your prayers and do what you can for these unfortunate people.  With love, Peter Love

9/7/05 --  Today I concentrated on learning lyrics to new songs I am to perform at my up coming gigs. Even at night when trying to sleep, the lyrics are still ruminating in my mind. What a way to learn :-) My publicist has lined up some nice things such as an interview at one of the leading newspapers. I really love her for her devotion and talent. She is a rarity and deserves the best, I truly mean it. Well, back to rehearsing. I had to come out to say hello and let you all know I really love you and my music. My songs tells this story.  With love, Peter Love

9/6/05 --  I had the chance to have my Mother spend the last few days with me. That was nice and a great time to catch up on a lot of things between us. "Ain't nothing better than a Mother's Love,"  are lyrics from my song, "A Mother's Love," inspired by none other than my Mama :-) We took her out to a dinner club where the guest performer, Everette Dean asked me to come up for a couple of numbers. A young Elvis, he gets down and is a dapper dresser. I was awed by his drummer. A pretty female drummer, Gina, who rocked. During my blues numbers I gave her solos. She didn't disappoint. My Mother loved every bit of it and wants to come back! We had a blast. It was fun. With love, Peter Love

How sad:-(  While they survived, the recovery process is is unimaginable.  For those who lost loved ones, there is no recovery in the sense of human life. We will be dedicating a couple of songs during a segment in my show specifically for the victims of this tragedy. Let's all send our prayers and whatever else we can offer to help them. 9/3/05 -- Hello to everyone! The guest at our house from Jerry Soto's passing left last night. It has been a very challenging two weeks. Death is never easy, yet, an evenuality. I must say the memorial service was very enlightening. It was different. Before the service began, they played several musical tracks over the P A System of several of Jerry Soto's clients musical tracks. The featured song was "The Studio Man" written by Lezlee Snow, the women I was presently working with on her new CD which was being produced and recorded by Jerry. Boy is that song beautiful. It is all about Jerry. It was probably the last song he produced. I sang my "Because Of You" song at the opening of his memorial. After my singing, the program follwed with readings and remarks from close friends of the family. It was not a faith based memorial, but highly spiritual. The last segment had many of Jerry's friends and clients give their personal testimonials of the good times they had with him in and out of the studio; some from a band he once played in. This was very enlightening as all had similar thoughts and experiences about Jerry. They were all about the fun times; his serious and meticulous nature in the recording studio, etc. Boy was he a super engineer/producer/musican/critic! We are all going to miss him tremendously. We are all wondering where do we go from here, especially the ones who were presently involved with his recording projects. Love will lead the way. Jerry's Mother took five of us to dinner including one of my old band members. I see where Jerry get's his intelligence. Boy is Mariam "Soto" Shumar one bright and jazzy lady. She had us all laughing with her witty personality. She is on top of the latest in, well you name it: music, recording artists of all genres, plays, clothing, etc. She is from Vegas :-) I loved her charm. I hope to meet and spend time with her again. It was definitely a learning experience. One of fun. Oh yeah, she treated us all to the dinner. It was not cheap! Thanks Mrs. Shumar!! Thanks Jerry!! Peace and Joy!

< 8/30/05 -- I wasn't the best in rehearsal last night. I couldn't get into it 100% even though I gave it my best. Jerry Soto's death and other matters were very pressing in my mind. I have been chosen to sing my song, "Because Of You" at Jerry's funeral tomorrow evening. I wrote the song in 1997 during my father's terminal illness. Another song, "Daddy's Little Girl" has come up because Jerry has three daughters he was very fond of. Let me share the "Because of You" lyrics with you. Read Below.

Because Of You

Because of you my life is so special so meaningful If not for you, I don’t know how I would have made it through -- You came into my life when I needed you the most and made me a part of yours -- And you stood by me through all my troubled times -- Never once did you, never once did you walk away

Because of you I found a way to make my dreams come true, if not for you no, I don’t know where my life would be today -- To have you in my life, it’s been a miracle, you made me a friend of yours -- And you lent a hand whenever I was down -- Never once did you, never once did you turn me away

Your love was unconditional, you accepted me the way I was and made me one with you, -- My life has been so incredible, cause you gave me the strength to be the best that I can be

Because of you I’m here today, if not for you there’d be no way
Because of you I celebrate, Because of you, Because of you!

I have had a lot of well wishers and the media either visiting my home, via the telephone or e-mail regarding the death of music recording engineer and musician, Jerry Soto. I have seen and spoken with friends and acquaintances I haven't communicated with in years. Very touching. I want to thank everyone for your prayers and caring for Jerry's family and loved ones. Funeral arrangements are in place. Please e-mail me through my website if you would like further information. This will be the busiest week for me in a long time because of grueling rehearsals along with scheduled events leading up to the final resting of Jerry Soto which is to conclude Friday. 8/23/05 -- Oh My God! I just received a call that my producer/engineer/arranger/musician(s) Jerry Sotto owner, of Soto Sound Recording Studio, Palentine, IL., was found dead in his bed today. I am in total shock. I just spoke with Jerry the other day regarding our upcomimg session September 12, to finish the recording a new CD with vocalist Lezlee Snow out of Utah. We had just completed the new version of my song "Save Our Children." Jerry Soto was a genuis whom I have worked with for the last 15 years. I don't know what to say at the moment. I am in a state of shock! May God bless his family and loved ones. I just got a call from The Illinois Entertainer magazine regarding Jerry. I am listed as one of his top recording clients. To be considered that high on Soto Sounds Recording Studio is an honor and priviledge. This is a huge lost and will have an impact not only with his family but many in the recording/music industry as well. Please find time today to say a prayer for Jerry Soto and his family. What a tremendous lost of a talented and caring person. :-( With love, Peter Love

8/22/05 -- The "Stop Human Trafficking" page on my website will be down temporarily. We are reconstructing it with some new and accurate facts. Human trafficking, the abduction and kidnapping of children (against their will) around the world for money in exchange for slavery, ritual abuse, prostitution, etc., is a billion dollar industry. I appeared last summer in Washington, DC., and performed the "Stop Human Trafficking" song I wrote for the occasion. It is a very sad situation for children, many whom are scarred for life both physically and mentally. Many children either commit suicide or are murdered as part of a ritual ceremony. The list goes on and on of the horrendous crimes human trafficking inflicts on children. Look for my "Stop Human Trafficking" page to be back up within a couple of day. That's a promise. 8/20/05 & 8/21/05 -- I have been staying at my Mother's home in Chicago the past two days. I am actually live a suburb of Chicago. She doesn't own a computer but she would like to get one. She still lives in the neighborhood where I grew up. A lot has changed but I still like having grown up right off Lake Michigan. It was a great experience. We had a great community where everone one knew one another and there wasn't any violence. Our parents didn't have to watch us as they do children today. It is a gated community so that piece of security still remains. Most of the people I knew have either passsed away or moved on. But when I do run into a friend it is such a great feeling because for the moment, I am living in the past. I have a lot of history here. I will be gathering the band together to begin working on new songs for upcoming shows. I have to figure out which new songs to bring in and which ones to disgard. Wish me luck. Peace and Joy! It made my day. He and I were really tight. He filled me in on a lot of people I lost contact with. He just retired as a bomb and arsonist specialist or something like that. Man, I would have never guest that of him. He was a guy that always was in the back of my mind. Good people you never forget. I am due back in DC around October. I will make it my business to see him. A promoter wants to start promoting me for some gigs in my area. Cool. He caught my show just before I left for the DC performance. I like his attitude. I hope he can deliver. I should be back to normalacy by next week. I have some great things coming up. I am relaxing even though I am a guest performer tomorrow at a dinner club. I accept that with great honor. I have received an invitation to come and perform at the 10th Annual Million Man March in October, 2006 from one of the organizers. Coincidently, I wrote a song titled, "The Million Man March," for a documenary a few years ago for a TV host here in Chicago. I am looking forward to all of the opportunities that arose from this trip. I am still excited to have participated in the March On Washington. I was told there will be a documentary coming out of which I will be included. I had a chance to perform with a group of sisters. They invited me on stage. I want to thank all the people who took the time to alert me of this matter. I had no clue. That sure was a downer for me. Sorry. I want to thank my website designer, MMM and his Off The Hook Developement Company for getting it up and running for me. He was up at 3:00 AM working on fixing the problem. People try to take your domain name any way they can. What a depressed feeling that can be :-( MMM is the man. Regarding the March, I have a lot to fill you in on. It was a great experience and I learned a lot about incarerated people and the penal/justice system as a whole. Performing for such a monumental and historic event was very rewarding and emotional to say the least. I met some wonderful indiviuals, received invitations from others to perform on radio, TV, come back for other engagements, etc. Give me twenty four hours to unwind so I can give your details of this wonderful event. < 8/8/05 -- I have been practicing the songs and dance I will be performing for the March On Washington this weekend, August 12 -13. I want to be especially sharp because I will be a feature in a documentary on the March in DC. They will be filming my live performance in addition to doing bits on me before and after the concert. I have just learned that I will perform at two other locations in addition to Lafayette Park (across from the White House) where thousands are expected. One will be at the reception at City Hall. I am not quite sure of the third location. I am prepared. I have been looking forward for this. I should be finished with the "We Need Love" song tomorrow. From their we will have "We Need Love CDs made. We will make the deadline just in time. Thank God for he has been on our side. Talk with you tomorrow. With love, Peter Love

8/7/05 --The "We Need Love" song is now finally taking shape. Musician/bassman Joe Rocha put down a mean bass line. The bass in this song is one that runs up and down throughout the song except for a couple of spots. The bass line as well as the back ground vocals and hand claps automatically makes you want to join in with song and dance. Not including the fact that it is about love, freedom and justice. That why it was very important to capture a perfect bass line. I think Joe did that less than 20 minutes. He's bad! I am singing the song a little different than the first version. Just as people change, so do the interpretation of songs including, "We Need Love." I have already had positive feed back from a couple of people from out of state(s) from just the lyrics alone. This is very encouraging due to the fact they are strangers. I have a lot of work to do today in addition to getting "We Need Love" completed. Off and running! Peace. With love, Peter Love

8/6/05 -- Yesterday was spent laying down more tracks of the latest version of my song "We Need Love." I brought in guitar players of the Everett Dean Band. Dean's lead guitarist, Josh Trevino laid down two tracks. I wanted a James Brown riff which he did a wonderful job. Second, he came up with a unique sound for me and my music using a slide bar, something never used on my music. It sounds pretty cool. Everett is doing backing ground vocals with me. We have worked together on several projects. These are some really great and talented guys. I want to thank them for coming to my studio just before they had to jet to thier own concert later that night. The "We Need Love" song is coming together and hopefully will serve as the theme song for the March On Washington. Time to time I will list some of the lyrics such as: "We need people living together in the name of love - War and hate won’t bring us love, when we learn it never does." This was true when war first began for mankind and still rings true til this day. We don't have to look to far to find an answer. Wouldn't you agree? Peace. With love, Peter Love

8/5/05 -- The radio interview on WPAZ, Montgomery, AL, with host Roberta Franklin was a great success. She is the Bomb! I had a great time and we really went into my songs and more. She is really promoting the up coming March On Washington. I am still reeling with an emotional high from this one interview. A senator from the city promised to fund me and my band coming down for thier festival. He may back out but it is on the air so he'd better have a good excuse for doing so:-) Thank you all. I have been busy recording the song "We Need Love." In fact, I am headed right back to the recording studio right now. They are calling for me. It is my turn to sing again. Have a good weekend and I send my love. With love, Peter Love

< 8/4/05 -- I have had little rest. We are busy recording the song "We Need Love" for next week's March On Washington's performance. We have to have copies of the song ready for the public. Everyone involved are all fired up. I love the lyrics and the chorus line which goes; "We need love, we need peace and harmony, people living together, happy and free - We Need Love, truth and honesty, From the highest mountain, to the deepest sea... We Need Love!" The melody is very catchy and easy to sing along with. It is a crowd pleaser. I know from having sung it with my band CUPID. We sped the tempo up and changed the drumming to make it even more appealing. I can't wait for you to hear it. One thing for sure, "We Need Love." Peace. With love, Peter Love

8/3/05 -- Two great things happened yesterday. First, I will be interviewed on The Rev. Roberta Franlin's Radio Show, WMAZ, 1250 AM, Montgomery, ALA., Friday, 8/5/05, between the hours of 9 AM - 11 AM. The radio's website is - http://www.1250wapz.com - The radio station is accessable via the Internet from any where in the world. Please tune in. I will look for your calls with questions and comments. I would love to hear from you. Second, Michael of Michael Film Productions, who is making a documentary of the March On Washington, called to ask if I would be in the documentary. In addition, he would like to use a couple of my songs for the documentary's sound track. This is going to be a big project. I am so grateful to God and everyone for allowing these opportunities to come my way. Even though I perform concerts outside of the Save Our Children arena, my SOC song has opened doors beyond our wildest dreams. The creator and organizor of this March was attracted to my songs. I feel so blessed that others find my songs appealing, especially at a high level for such mass humanitarian events. I will do God's will and carry out the missions that He anointed me to the best of my ability. I remain humbled. With love, Peter Love

8/2/05 -- As I begin the new recording of my song, "We Need Love," a song written in the late 80's, it is utterly amazing how relevant the song is to today's times, perhaps even more. Since that time the world has changed drastically; unfortunately, for the worst. The state of our world affects everyone and everything. This is especially true for the less fortunate. Recording the song over, it seems as if the inspiration for the song was a direct result of today's times. I have sung that song on stage many times but stopped after the break up of my band CUPID. Many of my other songs were swept under the rug as well. I will reintroduce "We Need Love" at the March On Washington performance in front of 10 to 15 thousand people or more. Perhaps this is the way it was meant to be. Songs, like certain animals, come out of hibernation after a long sleep ready to take on the world. Well, "We Need Love," is doing just that, waking up with a mission. I hope all goes well and you like it. With love, Peter Love

8/1/05 -- The March On Washington is turning out to a really big event; one of national proportions. People are coming from every state. People have contacted me from several states. In addition to the March On Washington's own promotion, my press release has made people aware. The creator of the MOW has me scheduled for a radio interview this Friday in Alabama. This is very exciting. I have worked for people of anti-child abuse groups there but never a radio interview. Several people from the DC area have contacted me just this morning. This lets me know the word of my concert there is getting out. I am very excited! Along with this there are other agendas taking place. I also want to put up the pictures I received from my concert at 94 West this past Saturday. You can tell we are having fun. They should be up in a couple of days. I will be recording another version of my "We Need Love" song tomorrow. This is a song that we will be singing at the MOW Concert. I will post the lyrics. It is a song I wrote back in the 80's on casette tape. Now that CDs are the "in thing", I am recording it to CD and bringing the music up to date. The song sure fits our needs because we do need love, perhaps more than ever before! That's without a doubt. With love, Peter Love

< 7/30-31/05 -- Sorry for being absent everyone. I didn't and wouldn't ever abondon you. I am just getting back to my computer after a long weekend with several gigs in two days. Saturday: At noon there was a performance for the March For Fathers, a faith based group in Chicago organizing fathers to be more involved with their children. I had several songs that fit the occasion but it seemed my "Daddy's Little Girl" went ove biggest for Dad's with daughters. I gave a very sincere message about the importance of girls needing thier father's love prior to singing the song. Then that evening there was the big one at 94 West Dinner Club, a 3 set show that really requires energy and stamina and above all LOVE. Music is a very unique and effective way of reaching out to people to deliver a message that may otherwise be hard to do. History has proven this time and time again. While music seems like a lot of fun on stage, it too, is just like any job, having its ups and downs and stresses. Especially for the leader who has to make unpopular decisions. But it's worth it. We all enjoy it as do the people. We had fun and left people with a lot of happiness and joy, all having fun. One woman, reporter, entered her joyful sentiments in my Peter Love's Reflection's web page. Please take time to read it. It makes me happy to know I have made others happy. They fed off of my whole band, our energy and our mix of songs: from oldies, jazz, blues, Top 40, to my orginals. We loved it and most of all, so did everyone else. We reached our goal of making people happy. They called us back out for an encore. We gave it to them with the new "PETER LOVE" dance. Everyone came on stage and started doing it with me and the boys. Start looking out for the "Peter Love" dance to hit your area soon! :-) With love, Peter Love

7/29/05 -- Last night's rehearsal was very trying. I think I sang too much. I felt my voice going and had to cut back on what we were to learn for tomorrow's show. That was disappointing. Not having a keyboardist made it that much more difficult. But I take my hat off to the musicians and the lead guitar replacement. They did what was asked and with confidence. A singer is only as good as his voice. Having two shows tomorrow, one in the afternoon and another that night, worries any singer with a fatigued or scratchy voice. I am headed to the kitchen to drink some herbal throat tea and headed to bed. I have to get up very early. I want to thank my musicians for a great effort. With love, Peter Love

< >7/28/05 -- I spent most of yesterday scurrying for a replacement for my lead guitar player. This is one of the headaches of being the leader of a band. To have to find a replacement within 48 hours of a meaningful show with one rehearsal, without the benefit of the keyboard player being there, is a nightmare. This is where a good manager comes into play. They take such pressures off of your shoulders. They will keep you on top of things but you don't have to be on the battle field. I am lucky to have people to call on. I did find a lead guitar player whom I've worked with in the past. We will spend most of the evening getting him ready for a 3 hour show for tomorrow, Saturday. It ain't easy but as they, "The show must go on!" We can't let one person stop the whole production. In addition, the people hiring don't want to hear it. They will put you in a category of being unreliable. That tag spreads. Keep us in your prayers tonight. We sure need them. With love, Peter Love

7/27/05 -- We have had a heat wave in Chicago and it has really turned things around. People are really complaining. I understand it but, I'd rather have this than the frigid cold weather we have with our winters. I don't know how many more winters I will be able to take. Hearing my brother throw in my face daily about the beautiful weather in Orlando, FL, is finally getting to me. He is breaking me down. I notice myself telling people "I hate Chicago winters." I never use to say that before. I have many friends in warm parts of the country. Two friends I grew up with, one living in Texas and the other Vegas, told me how much more they enjoy life in warmer climate. Until the age of 10 I grew up in Nashville, TN, and loved it. When I came to Chicago as a teen I love that too. Chicago was the bomb and I learned how to ice skate. But that was then and now is now:-) We shall see. Hang in there. With love, Peter Love
