The first official annual "Save Our Children" Day, June 4, 2005, in Aberdeen, MS., was a historic day for America. A SOC Day Proclamation was signed by the Mayor of the city for Peter Love's effort to combat child abuse through his music. This historic day was a result of Peter Love's song written in 2000, "Save Our Children" and his diligence and concerts across the country to ultimately have a national SOC Day. "Just as we have a Mother's Day, a Father's Day, we so desperately need a day in reverence of our children. Thus my "Save Our Children" Day," says Peter Love.

Peter's harmonica solo in the middle of the song brought a rousing applause and standing ovation from everyone in attendance. From Blues, Jazz, Gospel, Pop, Love Ballads and R&B, in addition to his original music and anti-child abuse songs, Peter Love's show was a hit!
